Typographer’s drawers

Typographer's drawers: after centuries in which they neatly contained characters of every language and size, with the arrival of PCs and software they became obsolete objects. Each drawer contained dozens, hundreds, of small, ordered typefaces and each drawer was contained in special furniture.
Now they are in the process of destruction: they are absolutely useless, for write and print you have just to push a button on a keyboard as I am doing ... I think of how many books (poems, science, philosophy, fables, historical stories, memories) have been written with the little characters contained in the small squares and I am fascinated by the idea of filling those small empty spaces again with images, colors and drawings, as if to build a new fantastic alphabet and give new life to simple empty squares
