Totem

An old wooden terrace was demolished for renovation and I recovered the old panels. I was fascinated by touching the wood that was grayed out and worn by the weather: rain, sun, wind and snow.These panels, similar to totems, come from a village that was a war front and they are more than a hundred years old and have seen soldiers, religious processions, schoolchildren and tourists pass under them: they were destined for firewood and, arrived by chance in my hands, they underwent this unexpected transformation
